Reaching five years: The String Theory School celebrates its fifth anniversary with a concert and fundraiser Friday at the Garde's Oasis Room.

Making music: The concert promises performances by teachers and students from the Niantic school. Leading the program will be school founder and guitarist Chris Leigh, singer Josi Davis, bass player Mike Frishman, percussionist David Brensilver, pianist Rufus "Baby Grand" Davis, and Charles Spranklin on harmonica.

On the program: It'll be a little bit of a lot of different types of music: classical, jazz, rhythm & blues, folk, and rock & roll music, reflecting the school's diverse community of learners.
