Stonington — The Coast Guard Foundation established a scholarship fund in memory of Paul Deveau.

Coast Guard Capt. Paul Deveau, who taught math at the Coast Guard Academy and served as an assistant soccer coach, died April 25.

To honor his memory, anonymous donors have spearheaded a $50,000 matching gift campaign for the newly established Paul E. Deveau Scholarship Fund at the foundation, which will provide dependent children of Coast Guard enlisted personnel with scholarship money to help defray the cost of college.
