It was refreshing to read about, in the letters to The Day, a very positive article, "An 'Occupy' event with positive spin," (May 9), concerning "local citizens who desired to make a difference" and did something about it! The concerned citizens were: Connecticut College Mentors, Benny Dover students, Coast Guard Cadets, Save the Sound, Three Rivers Community College and Save Ocean Beach. These wonderful people were not afraid to soil their hands, they just wanted to make a difference.
