Cunningham - O'Connor

Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Cunningham of Niantic are happy to announce the engagement of their daughter, Leah Alexis, to Matthew Holland O'Connor. Matthew is the son of Mrs. Lynne O'Connor and the late Richard O'Connor, of LaGrangeville, New York. Leah is also the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Mountzoures of Niantic.

Leah is a 2002 graduate of East Lyme High School, and received her bachelor of arts degree magna cum laude from Bucknell University in Lewisburg, Pa., with a double major in English and art. She was awarded her master of arts in school counseling from Saint Joseph College (Hartford) in 2010, and is a school counselor at Robert E. Fitch High School in Groton.

Matthew is a 2001 graduate of Arlington High School in LaGrangeville, N.Y. and received his bachelor of science degree in finance from the University of Connecticut, Storrs, in 2005. He is employed as a technology consultant at Accenture in Hartford.

The couple was engaged Memorial Day weekend at Harkness State Park in Waterford. A July 21, 2012 wedding is planned.
