New London police investigating stabbing of two men

Police are investigating the assault of two men about 6:30 p.m. Saturday on Denison Avenue.

Both victims were taken by ambulance to Lawrence + Memorial Hospital. One victim received lacerations and contusions to the head, according to police, and the second victim, received stab wounds to the back. They were both treated and released.

Initially, one of the victims fled the scene but was located minutes later, police said.

Police have identified a suspect in the investigation but no arrests have been made. Police on Sunday did not release the names of the victims.
