Fleet Reserve to perform annual Sea Services Memorial ceremony

Groton— Branch 20, Fleet Reserve Association, Inc. will perform its annual Sea Services Memorial ceremony at 1 p.m. on May 26 on the pier where the Historic Ship Nautilus is berthed off of Crystal Lake Road.

A wreath will be placed in the Thames River in memory of shipmates on eternal patrol. The public is invited to attend the ceremony and flowers will be provided for those who wish to place a flower in the river in memory of a loved one.

Following this service, memorial wreaths will be placed at the U.S. Submarine Memorial East on Thames Street and the Fort Griswold Monument at the Bill Memorial Library on Monument Street.
