Norwich - A mandatory, post-election, hand-count audit of the April 17 Republican presidential primary will be conducted by the Registrars of Voters office May 29 at City Hall.

The voting districts to be counted were selected randomly by the Office of the Secretary of the State. Norwich Precinct 1, voting location Moriarty School, and Precinct 3, voting location Huntington School were selected.

The audit will be open to public observation. The results will be analyzed by the University of Connecticut and then presented to the Secretary of the State’s Office and the state Elections Enforcement Commission, and will be made available to the public.
