New London — Harvard cruised to its fifth consecutive win over Yale on Saturday in the 147th renewal of the Harvard-Yale Regatta on the Thames River.
The Crimson, who also swept the junior varsity and freshman races for the fifth straight time, finished the four-mile race in 19 minutes, 41.3 seconds, more than 10 seconds faster than Yale’s time of 19:51.7. Harvard has now won 13 of the last 14 regattas.
The race was run downstream and finished at the Gold Star Bridge.
Harvard won the three-mile JV race by nearly 32 seconds and the two-mile freshman race by 8.5 seconds.
Should the state intervene in the New London school system?
