It's never too late to tap into the Muse. If anything, the creative spirit is one of those energies that provide fuel at crucial points in life. Consider "Art from the Adult Day Center of Westerly," a new exhibit going up in the Back Room Gallery in the Artists' Cooperative Gallery of Westerly. The show features paintings and drawings by center participants under the instruction of Artists' Cooperative member Sylvia Rice. Recently, the artists have been painting and drawing scenes of the vernal Wilcox Park - as per Charlotte Prachniak's "Trees," shown here. Opening reception is 1-3 p.m. Sunday, and the exhibit runs through June 30. The gallery is located at 7 Canal St., Westerly. Hours are 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Tues.-Sat. (401) 596-2221, westerlyarts.com.
