Cash Mob to be held in Westerly

The Washington Trust Co. will host a "Cash Mob" in downtown Westerly at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 16.

A Cash Mob is a group of people who join together to shop at a local business. The purpose of the mob is to support local businesses in downtown Westerly as well as the local economy.

The Cash Mob will meet at the fountain in front of Washington Trust in downtown Westerly and then move on to the shopping destination.

The business that shoppers will visit has not yet been announced.
