Plainfield -- The William W. Backus Hospital will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony and barbecue celebrating the new Plainfield Backus Emergency Care Center from 4 to 6 p.m. June 26 at 582 Norwich Road.
The free-standing 13,000 square foot facility, which is scheduled to open July 9, will offer around-the-clock round the clock emergency care, 12 treatment rooms, board-certified physicians, convenient care, diagnostic imaging and laboratory services.
