As part of a series of events to celebrate its 15th anniversary, Cottrell Brewing Company is holding a Summer Ale Release Party Saturday June 16 at the brewery.
The brewery, at 100 Mechanic St. in Pawcatuck, will serve its Cask ale on tap and its newly-branded Summer Wheat Ale with artwork from local artist Susan Scala depicting the Battle of Stonington.
The free event, which is open to the public, will be held from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Craig Edwards and company will play American roots music and Bluegrass from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. The Mystic Highland Pipe Band will perform in full costume from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Other events will be planned throughout the year to celebrate the anniversary.
