Jim Harmon Montville
Publication: The Day
We should be grateful there are residents like Jim Andriote that are taking the time to petition for a referendum in Montville. The taxpayers will now have a chance to vote their opinion on the "no-brainer" budget that was passed by the Town Council. The budget that was passed did not increase spending for the town, but instead it passed on all the lost revenues from the town's lawsuits, and the lost taxes resulting from the AES Thames closing. The Town Council did not make any efforts to cut spending, or reduce services like other towns are doing across the country. Like I said, it was a no-brainer budget, and our costs will be additional taxes of $400 dollars plus, if we don't vote against it.
Good luck to Jim Andriote and Montville's taxpayers.
