'Class 12280' recently graduated from Basic Enlisted Submarine School

Groton — Eighty-nine sailors, "Class 12280," USS Wyoming (SSBN-742), graduated from Basic Enlisted Submarine School June 15.

Fire Controlman Second Class Cornelio Rodriquez was class honorman. Seaman Evan Jones received the Submarine League's William Purdum Award for most improved student. Seaman Apprentice David Kempfert received the Navy League Award and Seaman Recruit William Chiles, the class leader, received the Heritage Award.

Logistics Specialist First Class Christopher McMichael, Seaman Recruit Jacob Hawkins, Seaman Apprentice Mark McLoughlin, Seaman Recruit Kevin Wilson, Engineman Third Class Paul Orris, Seaman William Wolfrom, Seaman Apprentice Chase Newell, Seaman Recruit Joshua Maguire, Seaman Zach Kaminskis, Seaman Joshua Craig, Fireman Bryan Sieler, Seaman Recruit Jacob Glass, Seaman Marico Dean, Seaman Recruit Alexander Miller, Gas Turbine System Technician Mechanical, First Class Christian Venegasramirez, Seaman Recruit Daniel Muldowney, Logistics Specialist First Class Lawrence Polydore, Fireman Recruit Ethan Blythe, Fireman Recruit Jason Venegas, Yeoman Second Class Jonathan Atkins, Electronics Technician First Class Gerald Spears, Seaman Apprentice Joseph Longoria, Seaman Recruit Jimmy Littlejohn, Seaman Joel Curry and Logistics Specialist First Class Raynoel Pena were graduates with distinction.
