Your editorial, "Scouts Must Change Policy on Gays," (June 9), regarding Scouts was way out of line. This organization does not have to change it policy on gay Scout masters or assistant Scout masters.
These boys are very dedicated to their organization and look up to their leaders. The lifestyle of a gay man should not be introduced to these young, impressionable boys, even if it is done subliminally.
You cannot equate the military to the Scouts. The men in the military have already made up their minds regarding their sexuality and can deal with those who are different. Leave our young boys to be guided and molded into adults to men.
