It's a perfectly summer-happy scene: music lovers gathered on the Old Lighthouse Museum grounds overlooking Fishers Island Sound, listening to superb sings perform a little Rodgers and Hammerstein and a little Lerner and Loewe.
This is the scene at when Salt Marsh Opera performs its popular Music at the Lighthouse concerts. The latest happens Sunday with "Broadway Favorites."
Soprano Abla Hamza, tenor Kirk Dougherty and baritone Michael Scarcelle perform a few opera faves, along with songs by Cole Porter and Stephen Sondheim.
Since the locale is so inviting, concert-goers might want to arive early and picnic on the grounds. Food and beverages will be sold starting at 5 p.m.
Music At The Lighthouse is produced by the Stonington Historical Society and Salt Marsh Opera.
