The public is invited to explore two private gardens in North Stonington and Stonington, open to benefit the Garden Conservancy on Saturday, July 14, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Visitors may begin at either location: Blue Flag Farm, 449 Pendleton Hill Road, North Stonington; or Stone Acres, 385 North Main St., Stonington.
No reservations are required, and the event is rain or shine. Highlights of the gardens include a century-old boxwood hedge a quarter of a mile long, rose arbors, a grapery and a collection of more than 600 daylily cultivars (some shown above).
