East Lyme — Jayden Delaporta pitched a five-hitter and added a double and a run scored in the third inning as Mystic’s Little League softball team (ages 11-12) won the Section II state championship Thursday.

Delaporta was named Most Outstanding Player for Mystic (11-1), which advanced to a best-of-three series against Section I champ Fairfield to determine a state champion. That series begins Saturday at Sacred Heart University in Fairfield.
