On Friday night, July 6, McCook Park and Hole in the Wall Beach were packed with people eager to watch the Tall Ships as they arrived en route to New London for OpSail. Unable to capture this on my own camera, I returned to McCook Park before 7 the following morning and took several pictures.
In addition to having the place mostly to myself, I was amazed that our public works crew in Niantic had already cleaned the park as well as most of the beach where thousands of people had gathered the evening before.
A special thanks to our Public Works Department and to all who continue to make our town an extraordinary place to visit and live.
