The legal and financial problems we have as a town should be faced with unity, not by assigning blame or chastising someone.
We all need a vacation. Many of us have a responsibility to our jobs; we also have a responsibility to ourselves and our families. I doubt when the mayor was away his mind was not on vacation exclusively. It's easy for some of us to criticize others, when we should be offering support and ideas for solutions.
The mayor did not cripple the economy, or know that AES would close, nor is it an easy task to face personnel issues that are sensitive and volatile issues.
From what I read, the mayor inherited many of the struggles Montville faces, and instead of condemning the guy for taking a vacation, we should remember that he stepped up and ran for mayor despite these looming issues. There is no "easy" button we can push to fix everything, so it is time for us to practice patience and acceptance.
Everyone is entitled to an opinion, and it is just that, an opinion.
We were all given a free will and free speech. Negativity is a plague on this planet.
