Shoreline Roller Derby sets double-header for July 28

Groton — Shoreline Roller Derby will host a double-header bout is on July 28 at the Galaxy Roller Rink.

Shorline's Salty Broads will take on Hartford Area Roller Derby's Hartford Wailers followed by a bout between CTRD's BellaDonnas and HARD's CityBed Rockers, a rematch of HARD's CTRD's home opener earlier this year. Besides the roller derby action, there will be halftime acts during each bout, featuring the band, "Missing Cat" and the hula-hoop troop, "FaeRings: Hoops and Other Things." There also will  be a 50/50 raffle.

Doors open at 6 p.m. The first bout starts at 7 p.m. Kids age 10 and under enter free with a paying adult. For information and tickets, go to www.shorelinerollerderby.com.
