Robert Klein - that king of comedy, that influence on the next generation of comedians - will perform Saturday at Mohegan Sun's Cabaret Theatre. The show is presented by Treehouse Comedy Club.
Klein, 70, has a ton of comedy creds - he was chosen as one of the 25 greatest stand-ups ever by Comedy Central, for instance. There was a time, though, when he planned on studying to be a doctor. That, obviously, wasn't a notion that lasted long, and Klein studied at Yale School of Drama before hitting Second City.
Lots of HBO specials followed, along with Grammy and Tony nominations and acting gigs in movies like "Primary Colors" and "Two Weeks Notice."
