The Saybrook Stage Company has taken on a number of classic plays - Thornton Wilder's "Our Town," Reginald Rose's "12 Angry Men," and A.R. Gurney's "The Dining Room."
The latest addition is "You Can't Take It With You."
The group will perform the Pulitzer Prize-winning comedy at the Katharine Hepburn Cultural Arts Center.
Kaufman and Hart's tale celebrates an entertainingly idiosyncratic family. The Vanderhofs spend their days attending graduation ceremonies, raising snakes and making illegal fireworks. When the daughter finds a straight-laced boyfriend, she's not sure whether he should meet the family.
The cast consists of Terri Corigliano, Anastasia Egan, Victoria Blake, Jim Abrams, Timothy Rowe, Bryan Wills, Brian Beirne, Jim Hile, Mary Corigliano, Craig Hines, Michael Cronin, Ed Iwanicki, Laura Smith, Michael Momparler, Linda MacCluggage, and Suzanne McCormick.
