Audrey Matson New London
Publication: The Day
My name is Audrey Matson, and I am 10 years old and I live in New London. On June 14, I woke up to find that my new bike that I got in May for my birthday was stolen from our yard. I feel like it was my fault because I left it there and we usually keep our bikes in our bike rack.
I don't understand why people would steal other kids' bikes.
My bike is a BMX called an SE Racing with a baby blue frame (my favorite color) and a black seat with gold colors on the tire rim. What my bike means to me is summer freedom, fun and making memories with friends.
I am writing this letter to ask for your help in being on the lookout for a bike that looks like this around town. I will be hosting a lemonade stand on Sunday on the corner of Pequot and Neptune Avenue in New London (down by Ocean Beach) from 12 to 3. The "Bike Fund" from this lemonade stand will go towards a reward for the return of my bike or to save up for a new bike.
Who should presumptive Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney choose as his vice presidential running mate?
