Steve Heise, vice president of human resources at Foxwoods Resort Casino, left his job last week.

The circumstances of his departure could not immediately be determined.

In a memo to Foxwoods employees Friday, Scott Butera, the casino's president and chief executive officer, said Heise "has left his role at Foxwoods to pursue other options. We thank Steve for his five plus year contribution and wish him well in all his future endeavors."

A Foxwoods spokeswoman said the casino does not discuss matters regarding current or former employees.

Heise, a casino-industry veteran, joined Foxwoods in December 2006.
