Comic Brian Regan doesn't particularly bristle at his reputation as a "clean" comic. It's just that ours is a society obsessed with minutiae that, really, doesn't have to do with the pertinent issues - in this case, that he's one of the funniest people alive.
For the record, though, Regan and "clean": he uses C. O. Bigelow Lime & Coriander Body Cleanser, Malin + Goetz Eucalyptus Deodorant, Byredo Accord Oud Parfum and Taylor of Old Bond Street Shampoo. Clean? You bet! Regan is astringently redolent - as though someone's squeezing plump blackberries over a piñon campfire while seraphs drizzle the air with puréed cinnamon cloves.
Okay. With that out of the way, go see Regan as his latest standup tour brings him Friday to the MGM Grand Theater at Foxwoods. A post-Seinfeldian of observational humor, Regan's latest CD is "All By Myself" and a recent DVD is "The Epitome of Hyperbole." Both are hysterical, plus he constantly writes new material so each show has fresh stuff as well as some greatest hits.
