Jonathan Babcock , of Preston, stripped the leaves off sunflower stalks as a team of volunteers harvested sunflowers Thursday for Buttonwood Farms' annual Sunflowers for Wishes fundraiser.

The fundraiser, in its ninth year, sells bouquets of five sunflowers with the money going to the Make a Wish Foundation. Sunflowers for Wishes runs through this Sunday and will be followed by a Make a Wish Family Day at the farm on Tuesday. In addition to purchasing sunflower bouquets, guests at the farm can take wagon rides through the sunflower fields and eat sunflower ice cream.
