Groton - Town police, local fire departments and other agencies on Friday night found a woman who may have been lost in the woods on the Copp Property off Route 184 for several hours.

Emergency responders found the woman around 11 p.m. Friday.

The 240-acre park known as the Copp Property has walking trails and a dog park.

The woman's husband called police around 7 p.m. to say that his wife, who said she would return after a half-hour, had been gone for two hours. The emergency responders set up a command post on Route 184 and were assisted by Ledyard police.
