Setting aside June's lousy jobs numbers, President Obama renewed his class warfare attack calling for higher taxes on the upper incomes as being fair.

Is it fair that 50 percent of all tax filers pay no income tax? Who wants to answer that question? It is evident Obama and most Democrats are genetically wired to drive everything down to the lowest common denominator.

Furthermore any additional tax would not be used to reduce the $16 trillion public debt, nor would it be applied to the estimated $1.3 trillion annual federal budget for the current year. It would be spent. Obama needs the money to maintain if not increase the level of government activity so he can fulfill his agenda.

As taxpayers we should keep in mind there is no such thing as a failed government program. There are only programs that have failed to spend enough money. Federal spending will never lead to prosperity and higher standards of living.

Europe is almost here. There will be a choice on Nov. 6.
