The garbage printed by Chris Powell of the Journal Inquirer ("McMahon's silence" on July 20) and the yellow journalism of David Collins ("Where has 'Wrestling Lady of Death' McMahon Gone?" on June 27 were not worthy of The Day.

All women should reject the remarks of Mr. Collins against a remarkable lady and a grandmother who has succeeded in amassing wealth through her business acumen, which is the American way to success. She is successful, and because she is rich, is made to look like a villain according to the likes of a disgruntled reporter. Having wealth is not a sin. Her crime, according to such hypocrites, is being someone who wants to change for the better the lives of the middle class.

She is not a career politician, like Chris Shays, who with others like him, are responsible for the terrible state of our country's economy. Mr. Shays, who is critical of her wealth, would use our taxes to retain power and increase his wealth at the expense of taxpayers. Mr. Shays voted for BRAC and for a useless bridge to nowhere in Alaska.

Connecticut needs change and taxpayers respect what Linda will give us. Join in voting for a better Connecticut.
