Norwich – Two 19-year-old men were arrested on several charges late Tuesday after they allegedly brandished a fake gun in an on-street robbery attempt at the corner of Franklin and Oak streets and Boswell Avenue, police said.
Daron Henry of 151 Cliff St. was charged with second-degree breach of peace, third-degree assault, brandishing a facsimile firearm and first-degree robbery in the 10 p.m. incident. He was held on a $25,000 bond and was presented in Norwich Superior Court today. The judge raised his bond to $50,000 and he was released with his next court date scheduled for Aug. 28.
Jordan Nicholas of 510 Laurel Hill Road was charged with second-degree breach of peace, second-degree threatening and brandishing a facsimile firearm. He was released on a $2,500 bond and is scheduled to appear in Norwich Superior Court on Aug. 9.
Police said there were no injuries in the incident, and the facsimile firearm was a plastic toy gun.
