Pay attention! The latest New London "supergroup," Full Moon Jamboree, is definitely worthy of your ears. Joey Macrino (Get Haunted, Royale Brothers) has joined forces with Tim O'Connor (Sandman Allen, Hellbent & Heartbroken) and Paul Brockett and Dave Anderson (Paul Brockett Roadshow Band). The direction is pure hardcore country, and for the moment they're doing fantastic arrangements of classic tunes. The idea of their own material is pretty tantalizing, though, and assuredly they'll get there.
In the meantime, Full Moon Jamboree plays tonight at the Jonathan Edwards Winery in North Stonington. They're opening conveniently and tongue-in-groovily enough for Brockett's Roadshow. Admission comes with a free signature wine glass.
