Montville — A 20-year-old town resident was charged with second-degree assault and breach of peace Friday after he allegedly stabbed another man during an argument at his home.

Harry John Dumond III, of 11 Jeffrey Manor Road, was arrested at his home after state and town police found the alleged victim in the woods late Friday evening. The 20-year-old victim, a Groton resident, fled Dumond's home after he was stabbed and was located by a state police K-9 team, police said.

The victim was taken to Lawrence & Memorial Hospital for treatment of injuries that were not life-threatening, police said.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call Montville Police Officer Michael Pierce at (860) 848-7510.
