UConn sent out a release this afternoon updating coach Jim Calhoun's condition.
Calhoun, 70, fractured his left hip in a bicycle accident Saturday afternoon near his summer home in Madison, forcing him to miss his charity all-star basketball game at the Mohegan Sun Arena.
According to the release, he is resting comfortably Sunday after having successful surgery Saturday night at John Dempsey Hospital at the UConn Health Center in Farmington. He's expected to return home within a few days and make a full recovery.
