Dr. Feltes to head Gentiva office in Old Saybrook

Gentiva Health Services Inc., provider of home health and hospice services, on Monday announced the appointment of Dr. Michael Feltes as medical director of its Old Saybrook office.

Dr. Feltes will work closely with the Gentiva offices onpatient care and quality assurance, including the review of nursing and other patient care protocols, and the provision of continuing education to Gentiva's staff, the company said.

A geriatric specialist who has practiced in southeastern Connecticut for 19 years, he founded Sound Senior Geriatrics LLC and is medical director for multiple long-term care facilities and Beacon Hospice.
