The Estuary Council of Seniors presents "Wine on the Water" on Thursday, Aug. 9, from 6 to 8 p.m. at 220 Main Street in Old Saybrook. The evening features a variety of wines and live music, raffles and hors d'oeuvres. Guests can enjoy the view from the building overlooking the Connecticut River estuary.

Tickets are $25 per person. Proceeds support the Estuary's Stan Greimann Estuary Medical Outpatient Transportation Service, the only affordable transportation available to most of the seniors in the nine-town Estuary region to go to medical appointments outside of the estuary region. To purchase tickets, call Sandy at (860) 388-1611.
