Don't keep dogs in hot vehicles Once again, in the middle of a heat wave, while sitting in our air-conditioned car, a dog was sitting alone in a truck in front of us.

The windows were open, but the huge windshield made the truck like a greenhouse. I told the store employee.

He replied, "So what? If I say something the customer will get mad."

My girlfriend called the police. The dog's owner arrived before police. When I called over to the man about the dog, I was told to "mind my own business. I was only in there five minutes."

Please. We waited 10 minutes for you to come out.

People, please, dogs wear fur coats. We were warm in our air-conditioned car. When there's a heat wave or just hot and sunny, leave your dogs home for your five-minute errands. See them in five minutes when you get home.

My hope for this poor dog is that this was his last "five-minute errand" for the day.

And store employees, if you see something like this, report it. Think about all your customers and not just the bottom line.
