Norwich - A Norwich man was injured Thursday evening was he was run over by a car during a dispute with someone he knew.
Police said that about 5:45 p.m. they responded to Sylvester Street for a report of a subject down in the street. Upon arrival, police found Shawn Schultz, 36, of 9 Sylvester St., on the ground with multiple injuries.
Police said he got into an altercation with someone who was driving a vehicle at the time. Police said at some point Schultz became entangled with the vehicle as the driver tried to drive away.
Police said the driver of the car is cooperating with police.
Schultz was taken to the William W. Backus Hospital, where police said he is in stable condition.
