Waterford – Waterford Speedbowl has postponed its "Wings & Wheels" event scheduled for Saturday due to the impending weather threat looming over the region. For the second consecutive day, a forecast for late day heavy rain threats with the potential for severe weather and flash flooding were probable.

"After reviewing weather forecasts repeated times, all parties involved felt with an event of this enormity and the amount of lengthy travel many teams and fans need to make, we were best served cancelling the event for today" offered Speedbowl owner and promoter Terry Eames.

With the postponement, make-up dates for "Wings & Wheels" and the participating series have been announced. "Wings & Wheels" will be held next Saturday, August 18. Due to schedule conflicts, each of the participating divisions are unable to come together in the original event format. The revised format will have the International Supermodified Association (ISMA) and Northeastern Midget Association (NEMA) joining the Speedbowl's NASCAR Whelen All-American Series divisions next Saturday, August 18. An adjusted event schedule and event pricing has been made.

The Valenti Modified Racing Series will return at their next available opportunity on Saturday, September 8.

Truck Night, featuring the New England Truck Series and originally scheduled for August 18, has been postponed. Track officials are working with that series for a possible reschedule.
