Remember the long waits and slow service in the Emergency Room at Lawrence & Memorial Hospital in New London? I don't know when the big change occurred, but on Sunday morning, July 15, I called for an ambulance at 7:30 a.m. to bring my mom to the hospital. She had severe back pain; she's 89 years old. Two young men from Jordan Fire Department showed up quickly and showed great respect and professionalism to both of us. Good job guys.

Now to Dr. Cirillo, who attended to my mom; nurse, Erin, who kept my mom calm and personally wheeled her out to the car; the steady gentleman, who administered the IV on first try and the staff in the ER, good work.
