Edwards - Florio

Susan Kate Florio and Erick Mason Edwards were married in barefoot bliss on April 29, 2012. Their ceremony took place on the sandy shore of the Bolongo Bay Beach Resort, with the gorgeous view of St. Thomas as their background. The Reverend Stuart Scott performed the ceremony.

Susan is the daughter of Mrs. Angela Florio of New London and the late Mr. Frank Florio. She is a 1995 graduate of New London High School and is employed by the Defense Contract Audit Agency in Groton.

The bride's strapless A-line calf-length dress, creatively crafted by her mother, featured white satin and chiffon accented with lace from Angela's 50-year old wedding dress.

Erick is the son of Patricia Edwards of Waterford and Frederick Edwards of Kinsale, Va. He is a 1994 graduate of Waterford High School and served 13 years in the U.S. Navy until his honorable discharge, achieving the rank of chief petty officer. He is a student at Three Rivers Community College and is employed by the Supervisor of Shipbuilding in Groton.

The couple reside in Groton.
