It's high praise indeed to suggest that Stonington's Dirt Road Radio recalls the sounds of the most-excellent Americana band the Jayhawks.

As the 'hawks boast two very fine guitar/singer dudes in Gary Louris and Mark Olson, Dirt Road Radio features Mike "No, Not the Guy in the Waterboys" Scott and Dennis Walley.

Do the Jayhawks frequently use a female violinist? Yes, and fiddler Kelly Asciolla is an equal Dirt Road Radio member in good standing. And the songs!
