In response to the Aug. 17 article, "Debates spark debate," Congressman Chris Murphy showed poor professional courtesy and immaturity when he set up the dates and locations for Senate debates without first confirming the attendance of his opponent, Linda McMahon. Was it a bullying tactic intended to intimidate or just a rude gesture? How can we trust him to work corroboratively across the aisle on the U.S. Senate floor on serious national matters when he so poorly handled organizing a simple debate with his rival candidate?
