Stephen Cravinho has been named interim athletic director at New London High School, sources told The Day Friday afternoon.
Cravinho, a physical education teacher at the high school, replaces Jeff Larson, who left last month to take an assistant principal's position at Classical Magnet in Hartford.
Cravinho has educational degrees from Sacred Heart University, Southern Connecticut State University and Springfield College.
Duane Maranda replaced Larson as the school's head football coach last month.
