• Mitchell College freshman Sheila Newcity was named New England Collegiate Conference Rookie of the Week in women's cross country. Newcity debuted in the Trinity Bantam Invite, finishing 50th overall in 20:14 over 4k. The race featured Division I and II runners.

• Mitchell freshman Amanda Garcia was named NECC Rookie of the Week in volleyball. The middle hitter had 18 kills in matches against Pine Manor and Albertus Magnus, adding four aces against Pine Manor and three blocks against Albertus Magnus.

• Connecticut College senior setter Katie Ketcham was named the New England Small College Athletic Conference Player of the Week in volleyball. Ketcham paced the Camels to a four match sweep and a perfect 12-0 record in games at the Johnson & Wales University Invitational. Ketcham averaged 10.25 kills, 1.83 digs and .50 kills over the weekend.

• UConn senior forward Danielle Schulmann was named Big East Offensive Player of the Week in women's soccer. She had four goals and three assists in a 2-0 week for the Huskies.

• UConn swept the weekly Big East field hockey awards with sophomore forward Marie Elena Bolles earning top offensive honors and goalie Sarah Mansfield the top defensive award. Bolles scored three goals in a 2-0 week for the No. 7 Huskies, who beat No. 15 Michigan and No. 21 Albany, while Mansfield allowed just one goal and made 14 saves.
