    Navy sub base recognizes Lieberman as honorary submariner

    Groton - U.S. Senator Joe Lieberman received a pin from Rear Admiral Richard P. Breckenridge, commander of Submarine Group Two, as he is honored by the Naval Submarine Base New London in Groton during a brief ceremony in which Lieberman was made an honorary submariner Wednesday. The crew of the Navy's newest Virginia Class submarine USS Mississippi, (SSN 782), was on hand for the ceremony.

    Sen. Lieberman was honored in recognition for his work during his tenure for the Navy and the submarine base.
