Stand-up guy: Comedian Jeff Garlin, who became a big name with his role as Larry David's manager on "Curb Your Enthusiasm," brings his "Built for Comfort Tour" to Foxwoods Friday.
I got your back: Now, that's a pal. Garlin and Conan O'Brien used to be roommates back when both were upcoming comedians in Chicago. In 2010, when O'Brien was booted from hosting "The Tonight Show" so Jay Leno could retake the reins, Garlin was so mad he said he'd never appear on that show with Leno hosting. He slammed Leno as having "no character."
The voice is familiar: Garlin has guested on countless TV shows, but he - or at least his voice - has been on the big screen, in animated films like "Wall-E," where he was The Captain, and "Toy Story 3," where he was Buttercup. He's acted in movies, too, such as this year's well-reviewed indie "Safety Not Guaranteed."
