This is the time of year when galleries offer exhibitions focusing on small artworks priced for holiday giving. On Wednesday, the Artists' Cooperative Gallery of Westerly opens its version, dubbed "Small Treasures." Up for sale is a wide array of art - from oils to watercolors, photography to fiber arts, sculpture to jewelry, oils to watercolors (such as Ian Newbury's accompanying "Watch Hill").
The gallery, which is marking its 20th year, will once again collect non-perishable food donations during this exhibition to pass along to the Pawcatuck Neighborhood Center, which serves local communities in Rhode Island and Connecticut.
The show opens with a reception from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and runs through Dec. 1 at the gallery at 7 Canal St., Westerly, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays: (401) 596-2221.
