Groton — The Submarine Force Museum and USS Nautilus invite the public to help create a new commemorative brick walkway.
The museum is selling engraved bricks to be included in the installation of a new paved path near the museum’s entrance. All proceeds go toward the perpetuation of the museum.
Mike Riegel, executive director of the Submarine Force Library and Museum Association, said, “We’re offering these custom bricks as an opportunity for people to memorialize a loved one or honor someone’s legacy. We want to create a special place, where everyone has the chance to celebrate an important person in his or her life.”
All purchased pavers are engraved with a personal message honoring an individual, Donors also will receive membership to the Submarine Force Library & Museum Association. The membership can be granted to the purchaser of the paver or transferred to another person as a gift. Each brick also comes with a commemorative certificate.
