Why does U.S. support Ireland?

So, President Obama won re-election. He will take this as an approval to go on a spending spree.

He will wait until he is sworn in for his second term - then, look out!

President Obama will be only too happy to "redistribute" taxpayer dollars to the 47 percent Chris Murphy says "do not exist." The United States of America and the American people will be the biggest losers in the long run.

Question for President Obama: Why do we (the USA) send money every year to a socialist government in Ireland?

I am an American of Irish ancestry. The Irish people (in Ireland) freely chose socialism and they alone must bear the consequences. It is not for the USA to bail them out.
